Nabower, Pfanstiel wedding
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- Katie Nabower of Grand Island, Nebraska, and Shawn Pfanstiel of McCook, Nebraska, were united in marriage Nov. 23, 2013, at Grace Lutheran Church in Grand Island with the Rev. Daniel Bremer officiating.
Parents of the bride are Neal and Tami Nabower of Grand Island. Grandparents are DeWayne and Jackie Boesen of Kenesaw, Nebraska, and Bill and Ellen Nabower of Kenesaw, Nebraska.
Parents of the bridegroom are Grant and Charlene Pfanstiel of McCook. Grandparents are Ray and Thelma Ridlen of Palisade, Nebraska.
The maid of honor was Kelsey Sheen of Grand Island. Bridesmaids were Rachel McConnell of Grand Island and Kim Pfanstiel, sister of the bridegroom, of McCook.
The best man was Michael Garretson of Hastings, Nebraska. Bridegroomsmen were Nickolas Nabower and Anthony Nabower, brothers of the bride, of Grand Island.
Ushers were Trevor Ridlen of McCook and Russell Ridlen of Kearney, Nebraska, cousins of the bridegroom, Mark Nelson of Kearney and John Vieth of Omaha, Nebraska.
Guest book and program attendants were Ellie Nabower, cousin of bride and Rhonda Ridlen, aunt of bridegroom.
Music was provided by organist, Dr. J. Gordon Christensen and a brass sextet, consisting of students of the bridegroom.
The reception was at the Skagway Banquet Center. Host couples were Ron and Nancy Ridlen, uncle and aunt of the bridegroom, of Palisade and Stuart and Judy Nabower, uncle and aunt of bride, of Hastings.
The couple honeymooned in San Antonio, Texas.
The bride graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 2007 and from the University of Nebraska--Kearney in 2011. She is a fourth grade teacher in St. Libory, Nebraska.
The bridegroom graduated from McCook Senior High in 2004 and from the University of Nebraska--Kearney in 2008. He is the director of bands at Grand Island Northwest.
The couple resides in Grand Island.
