Cody and Shelby Siegfried

McCOOK, Neb. -- Shelby Layne Haag and Cody Eugene Siegfried of McCook, Nebraska, were united in marriage May 3, 2014, at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Indianola, Nebraska, with celebrant Rev. Andrew Heaslip and co-celebrants Rev. Gary Brethour and Rev. Thomas McGuire.

Parents of the bride are Gayle and Elaine Haag of Bartley, Nebraska. Grandparents are Francis Haag of Bartley, the late Margaret Haag and the late Seraphine and Florence Zodrow.

Parents of the bridegroom are Calvin Siegfried and Elizabeth Siegfried of McCook. Grandparents are Ethyl Siegfried of McCook and the late Larry Siegfried and the late Robert and Joan Barger.

Matrons of honor were Kaitlin Haag of Bartley and Jennifer Haag of Colby, Kansas, sisters-in-law of the bride.

Serving as best man were Benjamin Siegfried and Adam Siegfried, brothers of the bridegroom, of McCook.

Ushers were Lucas Haag of Colby, Buck Haag of Bartley and Denton Haag of Norcatur, Kansas, brothers of the bride.

Flower girl was Ellie Siegfried, niece of the bridegroom, of McCook. Ring bearer was Sam Siegfried, nephew of the bridegroom, of McCook.

The organist was Shawn Pfanstiel of Grand Island, Nebraska. The cantor was Jo Beebe of McCook.

A reception followed the ceremony at McCook City Auditorium.

Host couple was Gary and Barb Hinz of McCook. The cake servers were Kathy Barger of Wauneta, Nebraska, and RanDee Barger of Palisade, Nebraska, aunts of the bridegroom.

Grand march leaders were Gary and Betty Newman, aunt and uncle of the bride, of Hoxie, Kansas. Entertainment was provided by Anthony and the Anamals of Hays, Kansas.

The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia immediately following the wedding.

The bride has a bachelor of science degree in agricultural communications and journalism from Kansas State University. She is a sales and marketing manager at McCook National Bank.

The bridegroom has a bachelor of art degree in philosophy from St. Gregory the Great Seminary and a Juris Doctor degree from Ave Maria School of Law. He is an attorney at Goodwin Siegfried, LLP in McCook.

The couple resides in McCook.
