Pauper burial, Calabria Subdivision roads on county agenda
McCOOK, Neb. -- Red Willow County commissioners will discuss how much will be paid for to bury an unclaimed body.
Monday's agenda includes a decision, at 9:50 a.m., on how much Herrman-Jones Funeral Chapel will be paid for the pauper burial of an unclaimed body.
Other items on the commissioners' agenda include a meeting as board of equalization to review a plan for 2014 assessment, overvalued, undervalued and omitted properties, and setting of a date to make decisions on property valuation protests.
Treasurer Marleen Garcia will also discuss tax roll corrections with the board.
Reconvened as a board of commissioners, the board will make decisions regarding the Law Enforcement Center, including setting a date and time to open bids on a sprinkler system, decide which medical group will provide services for prisoners, and consider a quote from Commercial Engineering Services for an annual telephone system support contract, $159 a month.
Following a 2-1 vote two weeks ago in favor of maintaining roads in the Calabria Subdivision, the board will discuss road construction in that area, as well as a request from Darlene Nothnagel regarding the definition of "Public Road" related to the decision to maintain the road.
