A helping hand

Farm Credit Services of America employees from offices in McCook and Imperial, Nebraska, "Team Up" with the Hitchcock County fair board to spruce up the fairgrounds in Culbertson. Tuesday, Wayne Vontz (on the ladder) and Mike Langan joined a painting crew inside the Community Building, with plans to work on the grandstand bleachers and also build rabbit and chicken cages. Cherri Lashley, of the McCook office, said the "Team Up" program provides volunteer services to community projects within the areas served by Farm Credit Services offices. She said the program will also make a monetary donation to the fair board, of approximately $1,000, based on the number of volunteers and the hours donated. Farm Credit Services employees who worked in Culbertson Tuesday were Tom Rau, Johna Jablonski, Doug Beck and Josh Fries of the Imperial office, and Tonda Simmonds, Trista Hansen, Danny Gullion, Mike Skolout, Mike Langan, Cherri Lashley and Wayne Vontz of the McCook office.
