Red Willow County Sheriff's Deputy Alan Kotschwar escorts county commissioner Vesta Dack into one of the double cells for female prisoners in the new county jail in McCook, Nebraska, Tuesday morning. Beckenhauer Construction senior site superintendent Carl Gibbs, left, assured Dack that the locks haven't been put on the cell doors yet. Dack, Gibbs, Kotschwar and Sheriff Gene Mahon, right, toured the jail interior, where cells and offices are taking shape, and the exterior, where bricks that coordinate with the courthouse next door are going up behind weather-proof sheeting and scaffolding.
