Cambridge man charged with felony neglect of animals
CAMBRIDGE, Nebraska -- A Cambridge man has been charged with six felony offenses of animal neglect stemming from nearly 50 dead animals found at his residence in early December.
The accused, 35-year-old Robert C. Brown, is scheduled for a hearing in the case in Frontier County Court at 10 a.m. on Feb. 7, 2014.
The charges stem from five dead goats, six dead pigs, a dead horse, three dead rabbits, 20-30 dead chickens, three dead cows and a dead calf discovered at Brown's residence by Frontier County Sheriff's office investigators on Dec. 10. 2013.
According to a report from KRVN radio the Sheriff's office also found four llamas, two goats, a horse and a donkey that were still alive, but they were without feed or water.
