SELDEN,Kansas -- Donald C. Spresser, 80, died Tuesday (Jan. 7, 2014), at Wichita, Kansas.
He was born June 10, 1933, at Sheridan County, Kansas, to John and Katherine (Kamphaus) Spresser Sr. He graduated from Leoville HIgh School in 1951. He served in the U.S.Army from 1953-55.
He married Bernadine Ritter on Nov. 22, 1955, in Leoville. He was a retired farmer and mail carrier. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus in Leoville
He was preceded in death by parents, John and Katherine Spresser Sr.; brothers, Norman Spresser and John Spresser Jr.; sister, Elenor Spresser; grandson, Brett Spresser; great-granddaughter, Kassidy Frasier; and foster daughter, Mary Weis.
Survivors include sons: Carl and wife, Debra Spresser of Rexford, Kansas, Leroy and wife, Renee Spresser of Selden, Kansas, Dennis and wife, Shawn Spresser of Dresden, Kansas; Daniel and wife, Annette Spresser of Gem, Kansas and Alan and wife, Tonya Spresser of Hoxie, Kansas; daughters, Delores and husband, Daniel Juenemann of Selden, Donna and husband, Jim Kindler of Alma, Nebraska; sisters, Ramona Overlease of Norton, Kansas and Carol Jean Bieker of Hoxie, Kansas; 34 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren,
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Leoville with the Rev. Mark Berland officiating. Interment is at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Leoville.
Visitation is Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the funeral home in Selden and 6 to 8 p.m. at the church in Leoville, with a vigil service Thursday, Jan. 9 at 7 p.m. at the church in Leoville.
