McCOOK, Nebraska -- Three McCook-based music promoters have joined forces to form a new promotion, production and publicity agency known as Seh- Due-Mor Productions.

"The name just happens to be the first three letters of our last names, but, spoken aloud, It does a good job of telling what we hope to accomplish, which is 'to say and do more.' said Matt Sehnert, the owner-manager of Sehnert's Bakery, and one of the founding partners.

Joining Matt in the agency are Dale Dueland, the originator of the "Live at the Bieroc" series, and Gene O. Morris, a life-long newsman and former executive director of the Fox Theatre.

"We are happy to announce that our first endeavor will be the promotion and presentation of Jessee Anderson, an outstanding guitarist who is going solo after many years of playing with area bands," Sehnert said.

Jessee's talents are drawing raves from Southwest Nebraska's musical observers. The greatest praise comes from Bruce Desautels, an architectural draftsman for the Benjamin Development Co. by day, and a musical devotee by night.

Says Bruce, "Jessee may just be 29, but his soul is old. His music has raw power. It personifies Texas blues. Stevie Ray Vaughan has been dead for years, but when Jessee plays Stevie Ray Vaughan comes alive."

Desautels must have read Jessee Anderson's mind. "Stevie Ray Vaughan is my hero. I absolutely love than man's music. He has had such an impression on me that I have Stevie Ray Vaughan tattooed on my upper arm."

Music fans from the Tri-State Region will have an opportunity to judge Jessee's music for themselves, The former Benkelman resident, who now serves as a fabricator for JLB Welding in McCook, still finds time for plenty of music. "I play every night after work for two or three hours," he says.

In addition, he is available for weekend gigs--as a solo or as a small group. For bookings, call Matt Sehnert, 308-345-6500; Dale Dueland, 308-345-6163, or Gene O.Morris, 308-340-5972.
