Songbook supply

Wednesday, December 18, 2013

Barbara Masur of Culbertson, Nebraska, looks through with her collection of McCook Gazette "Caroler's Songbooks" she has saved through the years, starting with songbooks from 1991 and going up to 2013. Mazur said she didn't intentionally start out collecting the songbooks, but after she saved a few, she decided to keep going. It's interesting to look through the books and see how the advertisers changed, she said. Also, some songbooks are dated with the year, while others are not, she noted. Although not a big collector -- "I do save the kids' Christmas ornaments they made in school and quilt blocks," she said -- Masur is missing the songbooks from 2000 and 2003. "If anyone has those, I'd love to have them," she said.
