K-9 officer helps make major drug bust

McCOOK, Nebraska -- Red Willow County Sheriff Gene Mahon this morning praises his department's K-9 officer, R.C., for her part in the discovery of a number of drugs and a large amount of cash during a traffic stop of a Colorado SUV on a rural county road about 1:30 a.m. Mahon said his deputies took two subjects into custody; they've been lodged in jail.
