John Sines, left, on behalf of the McCook Pantry, accepts a check for $301 from Ben Schow of Oz Tex Doughnuts in McCook. Throughout the month of October, customers at Oz Tex left their extra change and donations at the doughnut shop, hoping to reach the goal of $300 for the Pantry. On the first day of November, they were short by two dollars, until one customer heard about it and made a purchase for $3, said Judy Show. "Oz Tex has been very good to the Pantry," Sines said, not only with monetary donations but by donating boxes of doughnuts each week.
