Group seeks property for Norris tribute

McCOOK, Nebraska -- George W. Norris enthusiasts have their sights set on city property bordering U.S. Highway 6 and 34, located between Walmart and Plains Equipment, for the construction of a tribute to the former U.S. Senator and the Rural Electrification Administration. The McCook City Council will consider approval of a preliminary request Monday evening, from the George W. Norris Foundation and George Norris Institute, authorizing use of the former city landfill for the project.
