Beefin' up the Pantry

Monday, October 28, 2013

AmFirst Bank and AmFirst Investments Services personnel present 250 pounds of ground beef to Garnet (left) and Dorothy Henton (center), representing the McCook Pantry. Dorothy, who is the Pantry's president, said it's not always possible to put meat on the Pantry's "shopping list," so the AmFirst banking and investments departments' donation of beef is especially appreciated. Bank personnel purchased the beef from Schmick's Market in McCook, which donated the processing charge. Bank employees will also deliver canned foods donated by banking and investments customers and placed in shopping carts decorated like steers for the bank's "Round Up Some Supper" project and annual donation to the Pantry. Helping Dorothy and Garnet with the beef donation are banking and investments personnel, from left, Barb Bortner, executive assistant; Karen Shepherd, vice president consumer loan officer; Stacy Priebe, investments representative; Michael Kuhlen, personal banker; Amanda Fornoff, support representative; and Rick Tolliver, assistant vice president main frame management.
