Photography work by Nebraska native Bill Ray captures President John F. Kennedy visiting with Richard Nixon at the Oval Office during the Bay of Pigs Invasion of 1961. Award-winning photography by Ray is on display at the Wrightstone Fine Arts Gallery on the McCook Community College campus. "Bill Ray: A LIFEtime of Photographs" will be on display through the end of the semester and will be the final showing of the collection prior to it being auctioned off. Ray traveled across the country documenting important events in American cultural history. From small town to big city, Ray photographed presidents, movie stars, and sports legends, capturing a generation's hopes and dreams, trials and tribulations by visually recording the life and times of mid-20th Century America. The Wrightstone Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and until 9 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays.
