Funding the dance

Students of Spotlight Studios raise funds by washing cars Saturday at Westview Plaza in McCook, Nebraska. Spotlight Studios starts its fifth year with a new director, Lauren Phillips, originally from Kansas City, Missouri. She brings more than 20 years of dance training to students ranging from 3-18 years of age. Classes include pre-dance, ballet, jazz, lyrical, poms, leaps and turns, pointe and hip hop. Registration is Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. or Monday through Thursday, 3:30-6 p.m. For more information, contact Phillips at or 308-345-4734. Spotlight Studios is at 308 West C Street in McCook.
