Holbrook woman gets probation for methamphetamine

McCOOK, Nebraska -- A Holbrook woman was sentenced to 24 months probation last week in Red Willow County District Court after accepting a plea agreement that admitted guilt to a misdemeanor offense of attempting to possess methamphetamine. The woman, 19-year-old Alexis L. Kruger, was originally charged with a Class IV felony offense of possession of methamphetamine, in addition to an infraction for possession of drug paraphernalia and a Class I misdemeanor offense of carrying a concealed weapon. The charges stemmed from Kruger's arrest by the Red Willow County Sheriff's Department in March 2013, near the intersection of East Ninth and E Street in McCook.
