Staffing forces city pool to close for season

McCOOK, Nebraska -- The McCook City Pool will be closing for the season Sunday, Aug. 11, due to staffing issues. According to city staff, operating hours will be 1-7 p.m., Thursday through Saturday and 1-5 p.m. on Sunday.

A family night swim is scheduled for this evening, 8-10 p.m., weather permitting. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

  • a big reason the pool usuage is down is bcause many junior and senior high students are now involved in a variey of sports camps, clinics and traveling teams over the summer. it is hard to find workers for the pool for the same reasonsand with school and fall sports starting, we can expect this
