Color Me Crazy!
Runners have a last hurrah, using up the last of the color powder dispensed at the Young Professionals Group's Color Me Crazy 5K fun run/walk, which began at 7 a.m. at the Red Willow County Fairgrounds. At four stations, they were doused with combinations of colored powder and cornstarch for a colorful result at the end of the race. Mandy Rakes, left, Michelle Hedke and Shawna Michaelis strike a colorful victory pose at the finish line, while Earl McNutt, right, Red Willow County board of commissioners chairman, gets into the spirit of things midway through the event. Some 217 registered runners and more than 50 volunteers took part in the run, which the YPG hopes to make an annual event. Proceeds will go to the YPG's 2014 scholarships to either McCook Community College, McCook Beauty Academy or both. Reprints, more photos available at http://bit.ly/16QB0eS
