Steve Benzel awarded master technician status

McCOOK, Nebraska -- Steve Benzel, technician at Janssen Kool Honda of McCook, has been awarded master technician status by American Honda Motor Company.

To be given this award, a technician must be fully competent in 15 areas, some of which include air conditioning, brakes, electrical, emissions, restraints, steering/suspension and transmissions. They must also have completed 103 classroom hours and 234 online courses.

"We are extremely proud of Steve and are honored to have one of the very few master technicians in the United States working for us," said Lee Janssen of Janssen Kool Honda. "With Steve on our staff, we can have confidence that our customers' vehicles will get fixed the first time," Janssen continued.

Steve has been employed by Janssen Kool Honda of McCook for more than 4½ years. He and his wife, Kellie, live in Maywood where he is a member of the Maywood/Wellfleet Volunteer Rural Fire District and Frontier County Ambulance, and he sits on the Maywood Village Board.
