The McCook Horizon Bank Juniors B Black Legion baseball team couldn't put the bat on the ball Tuesday, June 4, against Oxford.

The Juniors B Black squad couldn't come up with timely hits with runners on base as Oxford ran past the locals, 12-2 in five innings.

Oxford scored three runs in the top of the first inning and five more in the second, and McCook could never recover.

Ethan Hays scored McCook's other run in the bottom of the third on a fielder's choice, a stolen base and two Oxford throwing errors.

Logan Loker took the pitching loss. Loker was relieved by Josh Harpham in the second inning.
