BIRD CITY, Kansas -- Helen (Morehouse) Grace Howk, 94, died Friday (May 3, 2013), at Dundy County Hospital in Benkelman, Nebraska.

She was born Aug. 16, 1918, in Davenport, Nebraska . She was a registered nurse.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle Howk in 1979.

Survivors include her daughter, Merla Hoffman of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sister, Gladys Neilan of Sharon Springs, Kansas and one granddaughter.

Servies are Satuday, June 29, 11 a.m. 2013, at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Bird City. Inurnment is at the Bird City Cemetery.

No visitation, cremation was chosen.

Memorials may be given to Dundy County Hiospital or to the church.

Knodel Funral Home in St. Francis, Kanas, is in charge of arrangements.
