Area individuals attend EMS conference

LEXINGTON, Nebraska -- Fifty-seven individuals attended the Eighth Annual Republican Valley Emergency Medical Services Conference April 6, at Arapahoe High School.

The conference was sponsored by Tri Valley Health System, Phelps Memorial Health Center, Norton County Hospital, Community Hospital, Harlan County Health System, Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Nebraska Emergency Medical Services Association and Central Community College.

Sessions were offered on advances in trauma care and resuscitation, EMS leadership and management, environmental emergencies, hoarders, neurogenic shock and trauma, potential hazards on EMS calls, primary assessment and rodeo injuries.
