Antiques appraisal fund-raiser set May 3

McCOOK, Nebraska -- The Hillcrest Nursing Home Foundation of McCook, Nebraska, invites lovers of antiques to two antiques and collectibles appraisal events Friday, May 3.

Certified appraiser Tom Bassett of Lincoln will evaluate antiques and collectibles brought to him for appraisal. Appraisals, limited to two per paying attendee, will be $5 each.

The first event will be at 2:30 p.m., at the nursing home, 309 W. Seventh, where Hillcrest residents and two members of their families and anyone 12 and under will be admitted free of charge. Others will be charged $5 each.

The second event is scheduled at 7 p.m., at the High Plains Museum at 413 Norris Ave. in downtown McCook. There, admission will be $5 each, and again, those 12 and under will be admitted free.
