Kiplinger offers county endowment for buildings

Tuesday, April 9, 2013

McCOOK, Nebraska -- Red Willow County Commissioners are reviewing an offer, by the man who gave the county a large arena and another building on the fairgrounds, to establish an endowment to keep up those buildings.

The board is expected to approve the agreement at next week's meeting.

The endowment fund of an undisclosed amount is being created to operate and maintain the Kiplinger Arena and nearby buildings on the Red Willow County Fairgrounds as well as promote public programs at the Arena Complex.

An advisory board will assist the county and fair board in the use of the fund.
