First day of spring

Wednesday, March 20, 2013

Spring arrived at 6:02 a.m., today, when the sun crossed the celestial equator and that means it's time to bring the tractors out and get them ready for field work, according to Roxy Lang of Wilsonville, Nebraska. This toy tractor was the first birthday gift Roxy received from her paternal grandfather. She writes, "The wheels are wobbly, so I must have played with it." Roxy also writes, "It was fun trying to get shots (of the toy) with the macro lens." She used these settings: f/2; 1/320; iso 100; 60 mm. The McCook Daily Gazette would love to showcase your weather photos. Readers can contribute to our daily weather page, subject to space and color availability, by emailing photos to editor2@ocsmccook.com or bringing them into the Gazette offices at West First and E Streets. Include the photographer's name and where and when the photo was taken and the camera settings used to get the shot (optional).
