McCOOK, Nebraska -- An individual has been arrested in connection with an ongoing burglary investigation, according to the McCook Police Department.

The department received multiple complaints around McCook of someone entering residences and stealing property, and after they were combined with additional complaints of suspicious activity around residence, the subject, who is awaiting a bond hearing, was taken into custody.

Wednesday's police blotter included an arrest at 4:15 p.m. at West First and I of a subject on multiple warrants, although it wasn't immediately apparent if that was the subject involved.

"We at the McCook Police Department would like to thank the citizens for their help and support and would again remind people to keep their homes, vehicles and property secure," said Sgt. Kevin Darling of the McCook Police Department. "Let's work together to reduce these targets of opportunity."

In another release, the McCook Area Crime Stoppers reported that a burglarly occurred at Wendy's restaurant, North Highway 83, during the early morning hours Wednesday. Money was reported stolen in the break-in.
