Homecoming activities planned on MCC campus

McCOOK, Nebraska -- Four McCook Community College athletic teams will play home games this week as part of homecoming activities.

Today is the homecoming doubleheader basketball games against Western Nebraska with the MCC women taking the court at 5:30 and the men to follow, at about 7:30 p.m.

Also today, moved up on account of the poor weather forecast, the MCC Women's softball team plays a homecoming doubleheader against Colby Community College at the Jaycee Sports Complex with the first game starting at 2 p.m.

Thursday is Homecoming Election day with MCC students voting for the King and Queen from among sophomore candidates and for Prince and Princess among the freshmen candidates. Royalty will be announced at the homecoming dance Saturday at the Student Union from 10 p.m.-1 a.m.

On Saturday the MCC Baseball plays a homecoming doubleheader against Williston State College with the first game starting at 1 p.m. at the Jaycee Sports Complex.

Homecoming week dress-up days this week include: Ugly sweater day Monday, MCC Pride Day Tuesday, Jersey Shore Day Wednesday, Nerd Day Thursday and Wacky tacky Day Friday.

Homecoming events are sponsored by the MCC Student Senate.
