She attended and graduated from McCook Community College. On Dec. 29, 1957, she was united in marriage to Roy F. Skraback, the love of her life. They lived and raised their family in Trenton, Nebraska, celebrating 40 wonderful years together.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W while in Trenton. She continued in the Piecemakers Quilters Guild in McCook, where she traveled to attend monthly. She was a member of the R.S.V.P. in North Platte since 2000, where she volunteered for the Senior Center, Red Cross, Thrift Center, Lincoln County Museum and The Bulletin. She loved quilting, her stamps, spending time with her flowers in the garden and always had a good book by her side. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Steve) Norman; two grandsons, Greggory David and Grant Franklin Norman, all of North Platte; sisters, Leona Bennett of Dallas, Texas, Joan (Harold) Harlow of Confer, Colorado and Beverly Bennett of Wichita, Kansas; and a brother, Charles Bennett of Oklahoma; also several sister-in-laws, Esther Steinke of McCook, LaVeda Moses of Santa Ana, California, Alberta Anderson, Reno, Nevada and Gracie (Jim) Hockman of Boulder, Colorado; and daughter-in-law, Shirley (Cliff) Maris Skraback Riener and her three children, Sheila, Tyler and Bethany, whom she always remained close with and loved dearly.
