NORTON, Kansas -- Evelyn Lemon, 93, of Norton, formerly of Lenora, Kansas, died Friday (Jan. 18, 2013), at the Andbe Home in Norton,

She was born Jan. 12, 1920, to Morret "Mac" and Francis Edinborough Leidig in Graham County, Kansas. She attended Lenora High School and Fort Hays State.

She married Russell Cook. After he died, she married Bernard Lemon.

She was the secretary at Lenora grade school.

She attended Lenora Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Morret "Mac" and Francis Leidig; husbands, Russell Cook and Bernard Lemon; infant sons, Donald Cook and Stephen Lemon; siblings, Clifford Leidig and Leora Carman; and grandson, Michael Dannefer.

Survivors include sons, Wayne (Barbara) Lemon of Emporia and Robin (Shari) Lemon of Bozeman, Montana; daughters, Elaine (Dale) Dannefer of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, Shari (Vic) Ramsey of Norton,and Ronda (David) Hales of Larned; brother, Louis Leidig of Abilene; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren,

A private service will be Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, 11 a.m. at Lenora Church of God. Interment is at the Lenora Cemetery.

Visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church in Lenora. Memorials may be given to the Lenora Church of God and the Norton Public Library.
