Lorri Sughroue/McCook Daily Gazette With special effects, crazy costumes, puppets and lots of one-liners, Spencer Wolfe, from left, Lincoln, Nebraska-based artist and Oberlin, Kansas native Ladd Wendelin and Michael Booton performed the puppet show "King Kong," a comedic re-telling of the classic film. The free 30-minute show greeted visitors to the Bieroc Saturday, with kids mesmerized by the fast-paced action and adults chuckling to the comedic undertones. "King Kong: The Puppet Show" premiered in October this year at the TADA Theatre in Lincoln's Historic Haymarket and continues to perform for audiences in downtown venues, such as the Zoo Bar, private parties and special events, with upcoming performances scheduled for the remainder of year and into 2013.
