Ministerial Association

Friday, December 7, 2012

Members of the Red Willow Area Ministerial Association meet in the Parish Hall at St. Alban's Episcopal Church Monday. The ministerial association meets regularly to coordinate efforts to bring the fruits of the Spirit, detailed in Galatians 5:22-23, to bear within the Christian community and the community at-large. Members serve on various community boards, including the McCook Area Chamber of Commerce, the Ed Thomas YMCA, Hospice, Salvation Army, and Habitat for Humanity. They also oversee the McCook Pantry, located in the Canterbury House adjacent to St. Alban's. Back from left are: the Rev. Gary Brethour, pastor at St. Patrick Catholic Church; the Rev. Steve Bales, pastor at First Congregational Church; the Rev. Rob Putz, pastor at Cornerstone Fellowship; Dave Davidson, lay pastor at Norris Avenue Chapel; and the Rev. Clark Bates, pastor at McCook Christian Church. Front from left: the Rev. John Strecker-Baseler, pastor of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and ministerial secretary; the Rev. Mary Hendricks, pastor at St. Alban's Episcopal Church and treasurer of the ministerial assocation; and the Rev. Bruce Lester, pastor at McCook Evangelical Free Church and vice president of the ministerial association. Not pictured is the Rev. Lance Clay, pastor at Memorial United Methodist Church and president of the ministerial association.

  • **May the Blessing of God's Spirit,

In the story of God's Only Son,

Be sounded, where people can hear it,

Opening hearts, to THE ONLY ONE.

**Merry Christmas, World, to one and all,

    Each year of day's, Three-Sixty-Five,

'His Days, Summer, Spring, Winter, Fall,'

    As Repentance, finds more ALIVE.

    **Sing Jesus Praises, Merrily,

    Unto Mortal Graduation,

To Be with Jesus, eternally Free,

    In New Jerusalem's Mighty Station.

    AMEN
