Hours at the Enders Post Office will be cut from six hours 20 minutes each day to two hours a day Monday through Friday starting Jan. 26, 2013. The cut means the post office will be open from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. during the week. Hours on Saturday will remain the same, from 9:30 a.m. until noon. The Imperial Republican newspaper indicates that Brian Sperry, regional spokes person for the U.S. Postal Service, said that the reduced hours are based on the office workload and the usage by the community. Sperry said Postal Service officials plan to cut annual post office costs by $22.5 billion by 2016.
