During the two-day event, 4-H'ers competed in showmanship, obedience and agility classes and in a costume contest. Each 4-H'er earned a "Top Performance Award" in at least one competition, according to Driftwood Feeders club leader Pam Gaston. They also attended learning sessions on nutrition, careers, training, micro-chipping and dog behavior. Also offered were demonstrations on sheepherding, dock diving, Rally O and law enforcement. Those attending were, from left: Nicole Dewey with Sissy, a golden retriever, and Sophie, a Westie; Madison Boardman with Bella, a Chihuahua mix; Rachel Witt with Maya, a Brussels griffon; and Greg Gaston with Kasper, a Kerry blue terrier, and Stoli, a giant Schnauzer. Pam Gaston said the Driftwood Feeders 4-H'ers competed against the top competition from across Nebraska.
