Santa to visit High Plains Museum

Monday, November 26, 2012

McCOOK, Nebraska -- This Christmas season, Santa Claus plans two stops at the Museum of the High Plains in downtown McCook -- his first visits in many, many years to the museum complex.

Children who want to visit with the jolly old elf can see him on Thursdays, Dec. 6 and Dec. 13, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. each day, in the art room of the museum at 413 Norris Avenue.

Parents are encouraged to bring their cameras.

Museum volunteers remember Santa's visits many, many years ago to the Carnegie Library, which is part of the museum and connected by a breezeway. Because the museum is handicap accessible and closer to restrooms, Santa plans his visits there.
