Student Council awards

McCook, Nebraska, High School Student Council members and former sponsor Sharon Bohling display the awards they won at the Nebraska Association of Student Councils state convention Nov. 5 at Lincoln Southeast High School. While at convention, retired student council sponsor Sharon Bohling received the "Don Darnell Award for Distinguished Sponsorship." Tricia Mitnik presented the award to Bohling at a celebration pizza party back at MHS Nov. 7. Also, the MHS council received special recognition for being a "Gold Level Outstanding Student Council," and accepted a photograph from Make-a Wish for it fundraising efforts during the 2011-2012 school year.
