LINCOLN, Nebraska -- November marks the beginning of the annual I Believe in the Future of Ag fundraising campaign. This campaign helps local FFA chapters raise money for innovative projects in their classrooms, leadership programming, community service projects and field trips to advance agriculture education in their school.
The Nebraska FFA Foundation, along with seventeen corporate sponsors, will provide extra incentives to participating FFA chapters. This year, $20,000 in matching funds will be distributed to chapters proportionate to the percentage of dollars raised. The campaign runs through January 31st, 2013.
Pledge cards are available from Southwest FFA Advisor Les Roggenkamp (308) 692-3223 and available in the Southwest High School Office. Southwest FFA members have also conducted a "mailing campaign" to several area businesses and supporters of Southwest FFA. Pledge cards are to be sent to the Nebraska FFA Foundation, PO Box 94942, Lincoln, NE 68509, or go to www. neffafoundation.org. You can contact Stacey Agnew, Nebraska FFA Foundation Executive Director at 402-472-5846 or Stacey@neffafoundation.org.
