Officials: Stream beds private property

McCOOK, Nebraska--The Red Willow and Furnas County Sheriff's departments and local Game and Parks Commission conservation officers are reminding the public that dry beds of streams are private property, including the Republican River in Barnett Park.

Permission from landowners is required to ride motorcycles, ATVs operate 4-wheel drive vehicles or even walk in these areas.Where the river or stream is a property boundary, permission is required from both landowners.
