Mildred sold Avon products in both McCook and Denver where she moved with her family in 1966. While in Denver she worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield until her retirement in 1980.

Mildred lived in Windsor Gardens for many years from 1983 until 2005. She remained active playing cards, golf, bingo, the piano and enjoyed square dancing. She volunteered at the Windsor Gardens medical clinic. Mildred also took pride in traveling and babysitting all of her seven grandchildren.

Mildred was a lifelong Catholic, active in St. Patrick's parish in McCook and Christ the King parish in Denver. She was also active with many aspects of volunteering within the Church.
