Cheryl Wallace, top, of Broken Bow, Nebraska, and "Pacific Frostman," run the cloverleaf barrel pattern in 15.830 seconds Saturday afternoon, Aug. 25, holding "the fast time" for a short time during the fifth annual "Roper Apparel & Footwear Barrel Futurity," for the first time ever at the Kiplinger Arena on the Red Willow County fairgrounds in McCook, Nebraska. Other competitors during the three-day event Aug. 24, 25 and 26 were Stephanie Newman, middle, and "Frenchie's Easy Cash" who recorded a time of 16.152 seconds; and Kelly Caldwell, bottom, on "A Whole Lotta Rae," whose time around the three barrels was 16.383 seconds.
