How Did Noah Know?

Dear Friend,

INTRO

Recently, a friend asked me, "Where do get all this stuff for your articles?" I replied, "It's in the Bible!" In II Timothy 2:15, we are admonished to, "Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, RIGHTLY dividing the word of truth." We, as a nation, place so much value on education, that now we have pre-school and then kindergarten, elementary, Jr. High, Highschool and then college with several levels of degrees. However, when it comes to the Bible, many Christians are still in kindergarten. Many pastors don't stay long enough to set up a program of sound Bible curriculum, other pastors are not schooled in Bible Prophecy and therefore do not teach or preach on it. However our pastor, Bruce Lester, recently completed a series on Bible Prophecy that blessed our whole church and greatly enlarged peoples understanding of the subject.

A NEW ROOM

Since Delores and I are pushing 80, our children were concerned about us having to carry the basket load of wash downstairs in the basement and then bring the clean clothes back up. We're not as nimble as we used to be. So we decided to build a washroom onto our home. First the foundation had to be laid, couldn't move in yet. Then the contractor put up the walls, still couldn't move in. Then he built the roof and shingled it, still couldn't move in. Then the plumber and electrician came and did their work, still couldn't move into it. Then the insulation was installed and then the drywall and the ceiling went in, still couldn't move in. Now the paint contractor painted it, still couldn't move in. Now the tile (flooring) had to be laid. As soon as it was done, we had the washer and dryer moved into it, plus storage cabinets and other accessories moved in and began to use it.

BIBLE PROPHECY

Bible Prophecy is much the same way. There is a progression of events, until each prophecy is fulfilled. Some had a nearby fulfillment, as well as a more distant fulfillment. The future is as clear to God as the past.....Isaiah 46:9-10 "Remember the former things long past, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me, vs 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, 'My purpose will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure.'" This clearly demonstrates God's foreknowledge and His power to accomplish His plan.

HOW DID NOAH KNOW

Genesis 6:5 "Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." How do we know we are living in THE LAST DAYS? Jesus said in Mt. 24:36-39 "But of that day (the Rapture) and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son of Man, but the Father alone (no one knows the very day or hour of Jesus return in the clouds) vs 37 For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. vs 38 For as in those days they were eating and drinking (getting drunk) marrying (many times) and giving in marriage, UNTIL the DAY that Noah entered the ark. vs 39 and they did not understand UNTIL the flood came and took them ALL away; so will the COMING OF THE SON OF MAN BE." Today the world is without excuse. We have churches, Christian Radio and TV beaming the gospel message around the world, in many languages. Missionaries all over the world too, BUT the world is DULL OF HEARING, seeking pleasure and counting Christians as FOOLS.

HOW DID NOAH KNOW continued

Noah had spent 120 years, building a boat that was so HUGE......the length of THREE football fields and THREE stories HIGH, with a window all around the top story for LIGHT. Since God had designed the ARK, that light would have penetrated every area of the ark. Jesus said, "I am the light of the world" also the Psalmist said, "Thy word is a lamp to my feet and a light unto my path." Psalm 119:105. Noah had not only completed building the Ark, but had stocked it with food and water for the animals and their own use. It is estimated, the Ark could hold the equivalent of 546 railroad boxcars. Now that he had obeyed the Lord in ALL of God's instructions and everything was ready, God Himself told him in Genesis 7:1 "Then the Lord said to Noah, "Enter the Ark, you and all your household, for you alone I have seen to be righteous in this time." God Himself will decide when the Rapture will be for us! When it's time, He will send Jesus back to get us; I Thes. 4:16-17 "For the Lord Himself (Christ is also Lord) shall descend from Heaven with a shout;". The door of opportunity to be saved will then be closed to you, because you would not believe to the saving of your soul. Now you must face the maelstrom of God's WRATH on the wicked. As believers, we are admonished to 'Be Ready, for you do not know what hour your Lord cometh." God was the one that determined when Noah should go into the Ark. God also will be the one to determine WHEN the Rapture will be. The Ark is a picture of Jesus, our Savior. Those who are in Jesus Christ will be saved from THE WRATH OF GOD, which will be poured out on the earth and it's inhabitants in the seven year TRIBULATION; "For then there will be a GREAT TRIBULATION, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will be." Matthew 24:21 By faith enter into your ARK of safety today! The door will soon be closed. Pray, "Lord Jesus Christ, by faith I accept you as my Savior. Please come into my heart and forgive me of ALL my sins. Amen!" Many of you have already entered by the DOOR. Jesus said, "I am the door, by Me if any man enter, He shall be saved." Jn. 10:9
