Ord, DeVaughn wedding
GRETNA, Nebraska -- Lindsey Dawn Ord and Preston Eugene DeVaughn, both formerly of McCook, Nebraska, and now of Omaha, Nebraska, were united in marriage March 17, 2012, at St. Patrick's Church in Gretna, Nebraska with the Rev. Michael Grewe and Deacon Steve Grandinetti officiating.
Parents of the bride are Kevin and Sheri Ord of McCook. Grandparents are LaVaughn Simpson, Red Cloud, Nebraska, and the late Glenn Simpson, Nione Ord and Delbert Ord.
Parents of the bridegroom are Chet and Donna DeVaughn of McCook. Grandparents are the late Chet and Hazel DeVaughn.
The maid of honor was Gina Ord, sister of the bride, of Fairfax, Virginia. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Nish of Omaha, Nebraska, and Cori Hughes, Gwyn DeVaughn and Danae Escher, all sisters of the bridegroom and all of Lincoln, Nebraska.
The best man was Scott Arnold of Lincoln.
Bridegroomsmen were Jeremy Escher, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, of Lincoln, Travis Hughes, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, of Lincoln, Samuel Ord, brother of the bride, of Pullman, Washington and Jonathan McKernan of Lincoln.
Flower girls were Harper Hughes and Ella Escher, both nieces of the bridegroom and both of Lincoln.
Ushers were Jim Reimers and Matt Crandell, both of Lincoln.
Guest book attendant was Mary Fornoff of Weeping Water, Nebraska. Program attendants were Reagan Knop and Tucker Knop, cousins of the bride, of Denver, Colorado.
Tracy Hoye of Omaha, Nebraska, was the pianist and vocalist.
The reception was at LaVista Conference Center/Embassy Suites following the ceremony. Host couples were Jim and Kristi Clapp and Steve and Diane Marr, all of McCook.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry with a bachelor's degree in dental hygiene. She works with SE Nebraska Dental Group in Omaha as a dental hygienist.
The bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Mid-Plains Community College with an associate of arts degree. He works at First National Bank of Omaha.
The couple resides in Omaha.
