Alyssa Nicole Cook and Christian Jay Grant
KEARNEY, Nebraska -- Alyssa Nicole Cook of Culbertson, Nebraska and Christian Jay Grant of Kearney, Nebraska, were united in marriage May 19, 2012, in Yaney Heritage Park in Kearney with the Rev. Corey Jenkins officiating.

Parents of the bride are Richard and Kristalee Cook of Culbertson. Grandparents are Sharon Johnson of McCook, Nebraska, the late Aaron Johnson and Ronald and Lila Cook of Culbertson. Great-grandmother is Cindy Ethier of McCook.

Parents of the bridegroom are Demaris Dietz of Kearney and Jay Grant of Fort Collins, Colorado. Grandparents are Don and Rosemary Grant of Fort Collins, Colorado and William and Jeanette Orsborn of Kearney.

Maid of honor was Rebekah Ogan of Kearney. Bridesmaids were Jessica Olivarez of Kearney, Christyne Schultz of Alliance, Nebraska, Elizabeth Miller of Alma, Nebraska and Kayla Williams of Lexington, Nebraska.

The bride's personal attendant was Alexis Woodward of Kearney.

The best man was Anthony Belgum of Lincoln, Nebraska. The bridegroomsmen were Jon Mosbarger, Shawn Rodine and Phillip Thomas, all of Kearney and Dustin Johnson of Lincoln. Ushers were Bryce Cook, brother of the bride, of Kearney and Ryan Putnam of Lincoln.

The harpist was Michelle Duffy of Kearney.

The reception followed the ceremony at Midtown Event Center in Kearney. Host couples were Kent and Michelle Johnson, of Baldwin City, Kansas and Doug and Kyle Luckie, Clear Lake, Iowa, aunts and uncles of the bride and Jon and Sherrie Grant of Fort Collins, aunt and uncle of the bridegroom.

Cake servers were Danielle Luckie, cousin of the bride, of Omaha, Nebraska, MacKenzie Johnson, cousin of the bride, of Baldwin City, Kansas and sisters of the bridegroom, Emily Grabau of Fort Collins and Katie Hutton of Omaha. Music was provided by Lowe Note Karaoke of Kearney.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of McCook High School and a 2011 graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education/early childhood unified. She is employed by Glenwood Elementary and the Alley Rose in Kearney.

The bridegroom is a 2008 graduate of Kearney Catholic High School and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He is also employed at the Alley Rose in Kearney.

The couple honeymooned in Jamaica and reside in Kearney.
