United Methodists offering assistance to fire, drought victims

LINCOLN - In response to the wildfires and drought currently plaguing the state, the Nebraska United Methodist Conference has set up a fund to accept money to aid fire and drought relief efforts. Distribution of those monies will be done on a regional basis according to need. This application process is intended to help individuals, families, communities and regional groups in their work to both battle fires and manage the results of an extended drought that is expected to continue into the fall.
