Brown cousin's reunion

McCOOK, Nebraska -- The 23rd Brown Cousin's Reunion was May 27, 2012 at the McCook Senior Center in McCook for a potluck meal at noon with 46 members in attendance from five states: Wyoming, Colorado, Michigan, Oklahoma and Nebraska.

Those attending were Milton and Mark Briggs of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Bernice Gil, Edith Burd and Judith Mitchell of Aurora, Colorado, Jim and Brenda Heiney of Brighton, Colorado, Laci and Jake Esser, Brook Mitchell and Kevin Herbert of Denver, Colorado, Terry and Marge Byrd of Livonia,MIchigan, Bruce and Shirley Confer of Edmond, Oklahoma, Richard and Cookie Conger of Lincoln, Nebraska, Connie Skeels of Grant, Nebraska, Wanda Lewis, Jim and Leota Brow, Trent and Rilynn Cooke, Bill, Peggy and Clive Brown of Trenton, Nebraska, Dean, Rhonda, Amber and Haley Hilker and Nathan Preibe, Jessica and Cody Jankovitz, Robin, Payton, Kerrigan and Gavyn Klein of McCook, Clarence , Kay and LeAnn Jankovitz of Culbertson, Nebraska, Jeff Steinke, Kirsten, Tucker and Zoey Boos of Hamlet, Nebraska, Kennth and Vernelle Krousnick of Imperial, Nebraska.

The largest family present was Jim and Leota Brown with 12 members. The youngest member was Rilynn Cook, 16 months old, of Trenton. Aunt Edith Burd was the oldest at 92 years old. Uncle Bill Brown was 89 years old Both have birthdays on May 30.

Door prizes went to Wanda Lewis, Cody Jankovitz, Mark Briggs, Clive Brown and Jim Heiney. Each received a jar of homemade jelly or jam. a white elephant auction was held, which was a lot of fun. Mark, Jill and Cole Brown of Trenton and Chris Klein stopped by later.

The Brown Cousin's Reunion will meet again May 26, 2013 at the McCook Senior Center in McCook with a pot luck meal at noon.
