'One Day at a Time' program presented for Culbertson United Methodist Women

CULBERTSON, Nebraska -- Eight members were in attendance when the Culbertson United Methodist Women had their June Unit meeting. President Charlotte Oberg opened the meeting by sharing "Our Father in Heaven" from Our Daily Bread.

The minutes were read and approved and the correspondence was shared. The treasurer's report was given.

For Spiritual Growth, Jackie Friehe shared two articles, "How Does a Person get to Heaven?" from Wisdom from Kids and "A Path Lit by His'Presence" from One Year of Praying Through the Bible. By consensus of the group, it was decided the second Sunday in March would be United Methodist Women's Sunday each year.

Lila Cook will take Carol Pinn's office as the treasurer.

Joys and concerns were shared with the group.

Lesson leader, Jane Korell presented a program "One Day at a Time." She shared the words of the song with the group. Lillian Kehler read the Scripture Psalm 90:112. The leader shared a devotion from Our Daily Bread with the Thought for the Day being "Yesterday is gone; tomorrow is uncertain; today is here. Use it wisely." The lesson was concluded with the group praying the Lord's Prayer.

Lillian Kehler was the hostess. The next meeting will be on July 25.
