General surgeon to see patients at Trenton

McCook, Nebraska -- Dr. Brenda Kopriva, full-time general surgeon at Community Hospital, is expanding her services to include a clinic at Trenton Medical Clinic beginning July 13. She will see patients in Trenton the second and fourth Fridays of the month from 9 to 11 a.m. for new patient consults, follow-up checks and simple in-office procedures.

Trenton Medical Clinic, at 406 East First Street, Trenton, Nebraska, is a service of Community Hospital. As a rural medical clinic, it offers a full-time physician assistant, Teresa Hodgson, and four family medicine providers from McCook Clinic in McCook who see patients on a rotating basis. Dr. Kopriva joined Community Hospital's medical staff in August 2011.

The field of general surgery entails endoscopy, laparoscopic procedures, intra-abdominal procedures, breast surgery, hernias and limited head and neck procedures.
