Hastings College releases dean's list

HASTINGS, Nebraska -- Hastings College has announced the Dean's List for its spring 2012 semester. To be eligible for the Dean's List, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.7 to 4.0, on a 4.0 scale, and be registered for full-time course work.

Area students earning a 4.0 grade point average are:

Beaver City -- Kyle Chesterman and Jessica Hunt

Hayes Center -- Blaine Richter

Maywood -- Michael Stinman

Orleans -- Drew Witte and Lyssa Witte

Wauneta -- Chris Bartels

Wilsonville -- Brooke Ballou

Area students earning a grade point average under 4.0 but at or above 3.7 are:

Cambridge -- Frankie Petersen

Culbertson -- Joel Rick

Haigler -- Alicia Crouse

Hayes Center -- Molly Cox

McCook -- Abigail Burrows


Northeast Community College honors

NORFOLK, Nebraska -- Officials at Northeast Community College in Norfolk recently released the President's Honor List and Deans' Honor List for both full- and part-time students for the Spring 2012 Semester.

To be named to the President's Honor List, students must earn a perfect grade point average of 4.0 and be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Some 149 students made the President's Full-time Honor List this spring semester, including Mark Brown of McCook.


University of South Dakota honors students

VERMILLION, South Dakota -- University of South Dakota students have been honored for their academic success during the 2012 Spring Semester.

USD students achieving Dean's List honors this spring total 1,518 students while 399 part-time students have been cited with Academic Recognition honors.

They include Derek P. Chancellor of McCook, Nebraska.

CURTIS, Nebraska -- Samantha Yonkers of McCook received an Associate of Science degree in agriculture production systems from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, Nebraska.
