Beaver Valley Ladies Auxiliary remind members to renew dues

LEBANON, Nebraska -- The Beaver Valley Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 7719 met June 13, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the home of Karen Brown in Lebanon. Six members attended the informal meeting led by President Karen Brown. Following the salute to the flag and a prayer by President Brown, the minutes of the previous meeting and the treasurer's report were read and approved. Items of interest from the Department newsletter were read. After some discussion, members voted to discontinue the quarterly payments to the post until further notice.

Installing Officer Helen McChesney installed the officers for the 2012-13 year. It was decided to hold the annual picnic at the Wilsonville Park this year.

The picnic will be a potluck carry in on July 25, 2012 at 6 p.m. at the community park in Wilsonville for the Auxiliary and Post members. Please bring food to share and eating utensils for yourself. Beverages will be provided.

President Brown reminded members that it is time to renew dues and that the 2013 membership cards will be available at the picnic for Auxiliary members.

Following the business meeting all enjoyed cookies and coffee provided by Helen McChesney and Karen Brown.

The next meeting will be at the July 25, 2012 picnic at the Wilsonville 6 p.m.
