McCOOK, Nebraska -- Another McCook Senior High alumni is coming back home.

This is the sixth MHS graduate hired this year for McCook Public Schools.

Harris graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and Human Services.

She was the substitute teacher at Lincoln Public Schools this past spring, where she also did her student teaching.

The board also approved a teaching contract for John Benjamin Hyatt as a Special Education teacher. Hyatt will teach students at Central Elementary, at the alternative education program, LIFT, and at St. Patrick's Catholic School.

McCook Public Schools is required to provide special education services to students on a non-public school setting.

Harris has a master's degree in special education from Fort Hays State University and has been substitute teaching since 2010.
