Leading the Palisade parade

The American Legion and VFW color guard leads the Pioneer Days parade down Main Street on Saturday in Palisade, Nebraska. Clear skies, warm sunshine and southerly breezes met paradegoers and participants. Community parades are often opportunities for car enthusiasts to show off their vehicles. The Pioneer Days parade is no exception, as a number of classic American automobiles -- such as this 1973 Ford Mustang convertible -- were taken for a leisurely cruise.
